Setting up ftp connection to your site using IPswitch WS_FTP Pro

  1. Open WS_FTP Pro and click on 'Connect' and then 'New'
  2. 'Create a:' should have FTP checked and 'with name:' should be the site name, this does not have to be the full domain name, but make sure it is something relevant. Click 'Next »'
  3. 'Host Name or IP Address' should be 'ftp.' and then your full domain name without the www. infront, but including the .com, .net .co.uk etc at the end
  4. 'User ID' & 'Password' (check 'Save Password') should be entered exactly as supplied in the start-up documentation, if you have lost this please contact us
  5. Click 'Finish' to add your new website
