Setting up Eudora Mail (PC/Mac)

This article provides the necessary steps for setting up Eudora. Although this applies specifically to the PC version of Eudora, the Macintosh version is very similar.

  1. Go to 'Tools', then 'Options'
  2. For Real Name, you can use your full e-mail address
  3. For return address use your full e-mail address
  4. For the mail server, simply enter your domain. (I.E. yourdomain.com) Do not precede your domain with 'mail.' (note the dot) as it will not work!
  5. For the login name, enter just the user ID you chose
  6. For the SMTP server, enter your domain again. Make sure Allow Authentication is checked

NOTE: For your login name, you may need to use a percent sign like user%yourdomain.com. Try either % or @ as some work with either one or the other.
